Reznor I. Orr presently serves on the board of IIA and is also co-founder of IIA’s PowerGen Group that provides proprietary modular power generating and thermal energy production systems and respective financing solutions for industrial, commercial and government mission-critical facilities under terms of certain long-term energy services agreements. In 1993, he co-founded Powercell Corporation serving as CEO and Chairman of the Board until January 2002. Powercell, with over 250 patents, developed and manufactured capital equipment for the distributed power industry. In 1991, Mr. Orr co-founded and U.S. Biomaterials Corporation, a manufacturer of FDA-approved bioactive ceramic materials and devices used for advanced medical and dental implants and related tissue repair based on technology developed with Universities of Florida and Maryland and Harvard University. He served as its CEO until 1992 and as a Director from 1991 to 1997. Prior to that, Mr. Orr served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Diamond Materials, Inc., an advanced |
engineered-materials company that developed and manufactured of advanced electronic devices based on thin-film diamond and silicon carbide semiconductor technologies for U.S. military weapon systems and industrial use. From 1982 to 1987, Mr. Orr served as Director of Corporate Marketing for Spire Corporation, a company specializing in development, engineering and manufacturing of solid state microwave, laser and photovoltaic devices for defense, energy and industrial applications. Under his direction, Spire was awarded over 50 Small Business Innovative Research grants from U.S. research and development agencies. He also developed energy technology and renewable power projects for Spire in China, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Japan and Europe. Mr. Orr is an industrialist and technology entrepreneur with expertise in capital formation for energy and high technology-based enterprises. |
