How The Watergen Filtration and Treatment System Works

The state-of-the-art WaterGen Filtration and Treatment System relies on proven water treatment technologies such as:

  • Ion exchange

  • Redox

  • Sorption

  • Various forms of filtration and chemical treatment

It has the ability to sequence these technologies in parallel as well as the types and sizes of containment and extraction media. This flexibility allows the system to meet surface and ground water treatment needs within a single device. In addition, the “module-to-module” design also maximizes the sorption capacity.

The WaterGen filtration system places media in modules separated by precision-mesh screens on top and bottom. The mesh prevents media mixing and loss. When a module becomes blocked with particulates, the system uses a pressure valve to bypass the blocked module while it is being backwashed. The filtration unit continues to operate as the blocked module is cleaned. This capability greatly reduces system downtime and the amount of backwash water required.
