Potential Applications

Industrial pilot operations. The system can be used as a pilot plant to investigate treatment options including groundwater remediation, drinking water supply treatment, mine site closure, and industrial water treatment.

Emergency response. Due to its mobile nature, the system could be used in response to an event with immediate threat to human health or the environment. This could include chemical spills, fires, natural disasters, or other events in which contaminated water could be released into the environment. It could also be used in response to needs for emergency drinking water supply treatment.

Remote critical use operations. The unit could be used to support field activities of various government agencies in remote locations. For example, military units could use the system to provide potable water from local water sources with widely varying quality.

Off-grid water resource. The system could be used to provide more than 25,000 gallons of drinking water per day to rural areas where municipal water is unavailable.
